All of these rulers wanted more power in the king. they all made the nobles lose power by basically making them live or work for them (like Louis' palace of Versailles).

Peter and Louie are similar because when Peter traveled Western Europe he took a lot of Louie's ideas. He did the same thing with the nobles having them live with him / around him. He began an army like Louie's. He also had a nice far away separate living are like Louie had. Peter's own "territory" kind of. Peter just generally just embraced how western society was and the ideal ways Louie had the society ran.

Some similarities of Louis XXIV and Peter the Great were that they both held the nobles in close vicinity so that they would not be able to rebel against him and he can tax them; they has more control over them. He also made his army stronger and them as Louis did. Peter also went to Louis' kingdom as a commoner and experienced life as one of them and adapted the western style.

Louis XIV and Peter the Great both started ruling at a young age and for many years after. Both rulers promoted industry, manufacturing, and trade. Also, they built strong armies, Louis XIV built up the French army to be the biggest in Europe and Peter also improved his army and their weapons. One thing each of them did to gain their titles was fighting to expand their country. Louis XIV fought to expand to the Rhine River to gain natural borders on all sides of France, and Peter fought to gain the Baltic to provide warm water ports for Russia.

Peter and Louis were similar because they both left heavy impacts after their rule. They both also used nobles in a way to gain power in their monarchies. They both also became king at a young age which meant by the end of their reign they felt like they were God. Both of these kings wanted complete control of their people and worked to improve their armies. This way they were both able to gain absolute power. They earned their respective titles by putting a great impact on their empires, such as westernizing Russia, or becoming an influence among their people.

Peter and Louis were similar because they both tried to modernize their areas. They both built huge palaces for themselves that are still impressive to this day. Louis made all the nobles live in his palace with him, so they didn’t revolt and rise up against him. Then Peter suppresses religion and politics which gives him even more power than he had before. Louis earned his respective title by cancelling the Edict of Nantes. Peter also gained his respective title by westernizing Russia, and moving his palace to St. Petersburg.

Louis and Peter both tried to make kings power greater by moving the nobles in the same area of them. Peter was influenced by Louis. They both built large important structures such as te Palace of versailles and a city in Russia. They also both influenced people to follow certain things they did. For instance Louis wore a wig and caused everyone else to wear one. Peter shaved his beard which caused others to do so as well.

Absolute rulers Peter and Louis both became rulers at young ages and ruled for many years. Both rulers moved their capitals/palaces to different places. They're also similar in the sense that they expanded their countries and built up their armies. Louis regained power from the nobles by forcing them to live with him and replacing them with royal representatives to control their land. Peter made Russia more Western like and fought to gain warm water ports to expand Russia's trading. Louis the Sun King gained his title by being seen as a god through his absolute policies of noble control and expansion of France to all natural borders. Peter the Great gained his title by westernizing Russia and improving trade.

Peter the Great and Louis XVI are similar in the way they ruled their nations. Both of them gained absolute power, and they used some of the same tactics to gain it. Both of them improved their armies and weapons in order to expand their empire. This gave their empire more power, as well as themselves. King Louis forced all of his nobles to move into the Palace of Versailles so they can’t work against him. Similar to King Louis, Peter the Great forces his nobles to live in St. Petersburg in order to gain more power. Both of them also promoted manufacturing, industry, and trade.

Peter and Louis both shared a few similarities, such as the fact that they both became king young and they worked on their armies. They also both became rulers by suppressing the noble class and seizing their lands. Louis was called the Sun King because he eventually began to see himself as the god of the sun, and Peter, “the Great” was granted his title because he largely modernized Russia.

Louis XIV and Peter I were similar in the ways that they both had absolute power, they both became king at a very young age, and they both worked to solidify the power in the hands of the king. The policies that they both used to get absolute power were making the nobles weaker through means of making them live with the king or something like that, expanding their country using bigger and better armies making the king more powerful through more controlled land, suppressing the religious and political rights of everyone that wasn’t them. Louis XIV earned the title of The Sun King because he made is seem as though everything revolved around him. Peter I earned the title of Peter I The Great by improving may parts of Russia such as army, architecture, social life, etc.

Louis XIV and Peter I both started to rule at a young age. They both brought the nobles the near them to be able to tax them without them rebelling. This took the power away from the nobles and forced the people to listen to his loyal local rulers.

Both Louis and Peter wanted and achieved expanding their countries, although they were for different reasons. Louis wanted to expand so his country would be surrounded by natural borders, and Peter expanded so that his country would have a warm water port to trade and travel year round to european countries. Louis kept his absolutism by keeping his nobles close to him and respectful of him, while Peter kept his absolutism by keeping most happy and improving the country by making it more like Europe.

Louis XIV and Peter I are similar because they both wanted a lot of power and achieved this by moving the nobles closer to them and use taxes to keep them in check. Louis XIV earned his name through conquering and through creating a powerful army. Peter I got his name through creating a similar army and through changing around the kingdom to be more like the west.

Peter the Great and Louis XIV are similar because they both became king at young ages. Louis built up the French armies to be the biggest in Europe, while Peter improved the training and weapons for the army. Both of them built territories, Louis's Palace of Versailles and St. Petersburg by Peter. Louis wanted absolute power, so he forced the nobles to live with him at the Palace of Versailles. Peter followed Louis’s rule, and did the same thing. This caused modern feudalism, with the king being on top and the nobles under him. Louis gained his royal title by stating that he was “chosen from god”. Peter the Great got his title by making improvements to Russia, such was westernizing it and upgrading trade.
