One of the main eras of the time period was the Science era. Everyone was becoming educated in math and science. People started to understand laws, as well as enforce the Scientific Method in their daily lives and during experiments. Many people branched out from religion and superstitions, solely depending on nature to provide answers. European society from the 1600’s and the 1300’s differed due to knowledge. In the 1300’s, people looked towards religion and the church for answers to their questions. In the 1600’s, people asked questions, and experimented with sciences to find their answers. Expedition Eras were a big difference between these two as well. Many of the Spanish went on expeditions to find new, untouched lands. In the 1300’s, people didn’t have the tools to travel such long distances without getting lost. They were unaware of other lands besides theirs.

In the past two chapters, we have learned about the Renaissance, the Industrial Revolution, the Commercial Revolution and the Scientific Revolution. In the 1300's Europe was emerging from the Dark Ages and entering the Renaissance, a time of discovery and curiosity. This made Europe change immensely between the 1300s and the 1600s. The Renaissance brought with it new ideas, which prompted the Scientific, Industrial, and Commercial Revolutions. These helped make Europe richer, more powerful, and smarter than before, leading to the discovery of many things, including the New World. Europe started basing their beliefs more on facts as opposed to religion while art, science, and trade increased, creating curiosity of how the world worked.

The biggest era that we have learned about in the last 2 chapters was the Renaissance era, some of the others that we have learned about in the last 2 chapters were included were the scientific, and exploration eras. These eras changed society over time. The European society is different in the 1600's than it was in the 1300's because of this. The eras inspired creativity, change, and freedom. This is why over time the European society has changed.

Based off of the chapters we have gone over, we have studied two eras which are the renaissance and the scientific revolution. Each of these eras have enlightened minds and broadened the knowledge that we have gained today. They both helped to revolutionize the world. For instance, the 1300's was a period of darkness and few people had knowledge outside of the idea of religion. As the years went on, theories and new ideas started blossoming and questions were not only asked, but answered as well. This helped the conversion from the "old world" to the "new world." After this conversion, people began stepping away from the theories of the church and started accepting nature and its facts. This allowed for growth as a society and the enlightenment of all minds.

The eras that we learned about in the last two chapters were the Renaissance, the Scientific Revolution, and the Commercial Revolution. These eras turned the light on in the European society and allowed growth in new accepted ideas. The changes in religion, technology, the sciences, art, expansion, and math created a new understanding of the way that the world works, it expanded the community's learning ability, and created acceptance toward new ideas. To grow toward a more modern way of thinking, the community had to try, and fail, at new things that caused them to think differently than others.

A couple of eras that we learned about in the last chapters are the renaissance and the scientific revolution. European society had a more open-minded and curious way of thinking in the 1600’s than in the 1300’s. They started to actually care about education. People had better food and grew better crops because of new technology. They also built better houses and businesses. They had better artwork and architecture. People were recreating things that their ancestors made and improving them. They had more ideas under the influence of their ancestor’s creations. People were exiting the dark ages and thinking more for themselves and their religion. They started to care more. They had many more ideas from trading after the crusades too. Ways of traveling became more advanced which allowed them to travel to areas that were unheard of, causing them to get new goods, like tobacco from the Americas. They also started looking into new ways to find reasons for things, like testing to find truths and not just assuming things.

In the 2 chapters that I have learned the eras of the 1300s through 1700s. Those eras are the low middle ages, the high middle ages, the renaissance. The difference between the 1600s and the 1300s are that the technology is very much improving with better map designing, compass and many more but the society is improving with knowledge and common sense.

1) We learned about many different eras. Some of these eras were the dark ages and the light ages or medieval times ( the middle ages.) During the light ages the renaissance and reformation was going on. Reformation was reforming the church and renaissance means rebirth. People were learning new things during this time period and had many improvements.

1. We learned about two eras in the last two chapters we learned about. We learned about the revolts and the reforms of the Churchin Europe in Chapter 6. Then we learned about the new ideas of European society, and how they expanded to the New World in Chapter 7. Society changes drastically from the 1300’s to the 1600’s.

The 2 eras that they went through at the time was the Scientific Revolution which was the breakthrough of knowledge and learning about the world and it's mysteries. The 2nd one was the Commercial Revolution which was when navigation, maps, products, and etc. started to gross and mass produce. Many changes occurred from the 1300's to the 1600's. The Earth was figured out that it isn't the center of the universe and that the son was, Colombus accidentally found North America and popularized it to the world causing the time of the "New World." Navigation was helped and made easier. That is the main stuff that happened during that time.

The eras we have learned about in these past chapters was the Renaissance, Reformation, and the Scientific Revolution eras. The renaissance was the “rebirth” of ideas in Italy and northern areas. This era advanced accessibility and skills in writings and art. The main invention that helped this era grow was the movable print typewriter, which made it faster and easier to write and spread ideas. The reformation era led to many people rising up against the catholic church and making their own church due to corruption of the church and its officials. Protestant churches like Lutheranism, Calvinism, and Anglicanism led to many good and bad things. Such as people being able to rise up for their beliefs, although this led to divided countries and even some battles. The last era was the scientific revolution, which led to improvements in technology, such as the compass and telescope, and it introduced experimentation to be used instead of superstition. Due to these different eras, the European society in the 1600’s looks way different than it did in the 1300’s. Modern stories and art, improvements in technology, and the spread of logical ways to think of things is what changed this society over time.

1. The eras from 1300 AD to 1700 AD were the Dark Ages, the Renaissance, the Reformation, the Counter Reformation, and the Scientifc Revolution. The Dark Ages were when the educated people had died in war without passing on their ideas which caused further generations' minds to be blank or dark. These generations of people were not educated and relied on religion to explain the world. The Renaissance was the spread of new ideas which caused the "light" in people's heads to come back on as they learned new ideas and concepts from trading with the Middle East. This spread of new information and investigative lifestyles caused people to investigate the church during the Reformation. People starting discover that the clergy were corrupt and they began to read and interpret the Bible for themselves. This caused new branches of Christianity to be formed like Lutheranism, Calvinism, and Anglicanism. The Counter Reformation was the moves made by the Catholic church to stop the spread of Protestantism. The Scientific Revolution was when people began making advancements in fields such as astronomy and anatomy. They used this new information to explore their world and discover new lands to use for resources.

The eras during this time were the Commercial Revolution and the Scientific Revolution. These revolutions were a result of the renaissance because of people being more open minded about things. Europe is different in the 1600’s from the 1300’s because of the renaissance. The renaissance like I said, greatly impacted people’s thoughts. More and more people started to use logic and science instead of superstition and religion to figure out questions. For example, for a long time people always believed the geocentric theory. This theory was then looked down upon when the heliocentric theory developed. The reason the heliocentric theory developed was because of Nicolas Copernicus. Copernicus had this developed this theory for a few reasons. He questioned the geocentric theory and did experiments instead of using religion and superstition. With the development of the scientific revolution many things had changed. There were many advances in navigation such as better boats, compasses, and better mapmaking. The commercial revolution also made a great change that separated the 1600’s from the 1300’s. There was fixed currency which made it easier to buy products. The fixed currency impacted banks and trading greatly. Banks were able to easily deposit loans and also lend to governments to wanted to go overseas. With the renaissance and better navigation, people had started to travel overseas, and go much farther. Because of the better navigation this lead to Europe being open to America. When Christopher Columbus landed on America he found many new products that Europe had never seen before.

In the past two chapters we learned about the Renaissance and the Scientific Revolution. The Italian Renaissance ultimately led to the Scientific Revolution because it started the advancement in ideas and questioning of modern day ideas. As people started to question ideas, it led to them learning new ideas and concepts; as people started learning, they started to come up with newer ideas for themselves that would change the rest of history.

1. The first era we learned about was the era of the renaissance. This era happened due to new knowledge gained about the world around the people at this time and a change in the economy which enlightened the people and allowed them to emerge from the Dark Ages. The second era we learned about was the era of reformation. This era happened due to religious believes that people had that differed from those of the church. This reformation of the church created many new branches of religion and many disagreements about which one was “right”. The third era we learned about was the era of science and technology. This era was a result of applying knowledge to the world around the people of this time leading to new inventions and understanding of the world. The last era we learned about was the era of discovery. This era was a result of finding The New World which was newly habitable lands that could allow countries or nations to gain wealth and resources. These new lands allowed nations to grow and become more powerful in terms of wealth and resources.
