The eras that we’ve learned about in the last couple chapters were the Italian and Northern Renaissance, Protestant Reformation, Scientific Revolution, Commercial Revolution, and the Era of Great Exploration (not the actual name but you know what I mean). European society was different in the 1600’s than in the 1300’s because of how aware people were of the world around them. During the Renaissance(s), people started to separate art from religion more than ever. Also, people started to move away from religion as a ruling force because they were exposed to the corruption of the church for the first time. This included superstition and an overall way of life, which led to the Protestant Reformation. This was the first time in European history that there had been different sects of a religion that were still acceptable. Because people weren’t worried about the church as a ruling force as much, they started to experiment and use mathematics to solve problems, this is called the Scientific Revolution. The advancements and the wider basis of understanding the world around them led to more commercialized ideas in an economic sense. This began the Commercial Revolution and made the foundations of the contemporary economic system that we know and still use today. The wider knowledge of mathematics and various sciences also led to the growth of exploration, particularly in the Iberian Peninsula. This was able to happen because of the construction of better ships, more accurate maps, and, of course, the advancements of the compass.

A few of the eras between the 1300’s - 1700’s were renaissance era, artistic era, scientific era, expansion era, economic era, exploration era. There were also some small sections like the Commercial Revolution. The 1300’s were different from the 1600’s because people had their eyes opened up to more cultures and religions. They also became curious so they traveled and experimented not believing in superstitions that much. Another change was when they discovered the New World they also had new crops and livestock, like potatoes and tobacco. They had scientists that studied anatomy, astrology, geography, alchemy, and many other sciences. There were new artists that made some of the most realistic paintings and sculptures people have seen.

In the last two chapters, we learned about a couple eras. One of the most influential era was the Renaissance. The Renaissance was a rebirth of knowledge for all, which led to new ideas, inventions and many other things in this time period. One key invention was the Movable Printing Press, which allowed books to become more widespread and common, which allowed many more people to become educated. Another era was the Scientific Revolution. The Scientific Revolution allowed scientist to gain greater knowledge of the world, and people. During this time we learned a lot, like chemistry and astronomy.

The eras that we have learned about in the last chapters are the Dark Ages and the Reformation. From the Dark Ages to the Reformation lots of changes have been made to their society. In the Dark Ages the people didn’t really know anything about their surrounding life. As time went on to the Reformation people were starting to want to know more about things, like reading from the bible and having their own beliefs, or interpreting the bible for themselves. They started developing money and currency, the idea of superstition started to occur, because of things that would happen that couldn’t be explained. Towns started to be developed because the feudal system was going away. We had the columbian exchange which allowed different places to get different things that they didn’t have before like foods. Europe had many different advances including ship improvements, navigation improvements like the compass, and much more precise maps of the world. Scientists were started to figure things out about how nature around us works like the universe. Everybody in this time was second guessing everything so when people like Galileo and Newton had these ideas they didn’t know what to think and people thought they were weird when the scientists had a different idea than what the people thought. Many different improvements happened throughout this time period from when the Dark Ages happened and nobody knew anything.

Some eras that happened between 1300s-1700s are the Scientific Revolution, The Renaissance, Protestant Reformation, Catholic Counter-Reformation, and the Age of Exploration. After the Renaissance, people started finding new ways to make money. They found out that they could use a barter system to trade goods for goods. Currency also started becoming relevant. Soon there would be a fixed value currency which meant that you could trade with any country with their currency. A lot had changed between the 1300s and 1600s, they started relying on science based knowledge instead of superstition. The Age of Exploration allowed Spain to find new territories to conquer creating the New World. Also, Mercantalism was created so Empires could conquer territories and take over their resources while having the people in that territory could work for them. Due to the Columbian Exchange, the Old World had access to new crops from America, but Europe spread disease to this new world wiping out many native tribes. Triangle Trade had America get harvest raw materials to import to England so they could produce Manufactured goods. They would sell these goods to Africa for slaves to harvest the materials in America. The people in these eras grew a lot smarter and had more understanding of the world around them. Isaac Newton discovered to occurrence of gravity and how it works. Kepler and Galileo proved that the Earth is not the center of the Universe. And Harvey discovered the blood flow and circulation throughout the human body by using the first ever pump created.

1. In my opinion, there were two main eras that were emphasized in the last two chapters: The Reformation and the Renaissance. This was a result of economic and cultural changes that took place around 1300-1700 A.D. but only The Reformation really involved separation from the church. The Renaissance was a time period in which new ideas and concepts were introduced following the Dark Ages.

Four main eras of the last 2 chapters were the Renaissance, the Scientific Revolution, improvements, and exploration. The Renaissance was a time of curiosity and enlightenment. The Scientific Revolution was a time in which people began using science instead of religion to explain the unknown. Improvements in travel was an important event because it made traveling less dangerous and it lead to an era of exploration. The Era of Exploration was a huge era because it lead to the discovery of new land (The Americas). Europe in the 1600's was much more different than Europe in the 1300's. This is because there was much more knowledge in the world in the 1600’s than there was in the 1300’s.

1. In the last few chapters, a few important eras which occurred were the Renaissance and the Reformation, which were two changes that happened mostly in Europe. The Renaissance was a cultural change, where there was an explosion of artistic and architectural changes made to society. The Reformation was the people pointing out and trying to change everything wrong with the Catholic church. From this reformation, the Protestant sects were created. Then, there was the Scientific Revolution, which started from the Renaissance and the curiosity that ensued. There were many great scientific advancements and modern day tools created. Lastly, the Age of Exploration started, and this led to many new discoveries of lands and improvement of trade.

We learned about the renassanse and the time periods around that time. The 1300's is when many famous artists and writers became know for many acomplishments such as the depth of the photo and it's detail. While writers became known for their reliougious aspects. During this time was also when the Anglican Church took the rise and all that lived in England were forced to switch to this religion. Calvinism also took rise for the idea that God already knows if you are going to hell or going to heaven. With many new things being uproared in the 1300's people in the daily life got to have more free time, the standereds of living imprived, and the black plage leaves more resources for the people that are left behind. In the 1600's the main idea was that people started to jugue the laws on how everything worked, this cause many discovries that advanced todays math, art, sciences. But also on the trading of goods that were sent all around the globe. Even how counitiies kept money within themselves.

There has been two different eras we have learned about in the last two chapters. A time of learning and discovery and a time of darkness and lack of knowledge. The renaissance and medieval dark ages, then the change of religion throughout Europe were protestant groups popped up everywhere. European society from the 1300’s to 1600’s has become more knowledgeable in many ways such as more freedom or choices for religion, such as lutheranism and calvinism. The economy has worked up more conventional ways to make money and exchange money. They started to use bankers, money exchangers, and they made a concrete money value system for trading of different cultures money; for example one dollar in europe would be the same as 15 dollars in the New World (completely made up but the idea is there). Ideas started to be exchanged between different cultures and countries, during the Renaissance after the Dark Ages where very few if not no ideas were shared. This lead to many new inventions or ways to do things such as the movable type writer, or new systems the ruler would use to run the country. Food started to change due to the Colombian exchange with the New World and Europe, many new food items were exchanged.

In the last two chapters, we learned about a couple different eras. We learned about the Renaissance and the Scientific Revolution. The Renaissance was a time for thinking and for new ideas. They came up with many new inventions, and new techniques to do the things they already knew how to do. An example of this would be paintings. In the Scientific Revolution, they started to rely less on superstitions and turned to science to explain the unknown instead. They started to write more books, and they came up with new ideas such as the Heliocentric Theory. When new scientific discoveries were announced, they weren’t widely accepted. Although they started to depend on science, they weren’t completely solid on trading what they had already believed for years just because one person said so and used science as their proof.

The eras that we have learned in the past two chapters are the Italian and Northern Renaissance era, and the age of exploration. The first era, the one with the renaissances was a quest for knowledge. The second era mentioned was for cultural awareness, or in a way knowing that more places exist outside the known countries.

In these last two chapters we have learned of a dominating era that was comprised of many era. This dominating era was the Renaissance which signifies “the enlightenment”. People began to question and think for themselves. The first small era was the counter reformation and it happened because of the church. People began to think for themselves as they realized that the church was corrupt and they did not want to end up in supposably “hell” if the priest was doing wrong things. Prostestan sects sprung up the roman catholic church lost power.

During the period from 1300-1700 A.D. there were many eras that we learned about. The 2 main eras were the scientific revolution and the renaissance. The renaissance helped expand our knowledge and our growth through society. The invention of the printing press helped the fast growth and expansion of these new ideas. The scientific revolution is the fuel for our education. Things like gravity and being able to predict and calculate provided advancements for our society.
